Schedule

    Candidates will be required to do a fair amount of practical work by way of project work field investigation and case analysis besides library reading and class contact hours. Candidates participating in the programmes both inside and outside the class, will be evaluated on a continuing basis. The breakup of the final marks awarded carries the weightage, considering the mode of evaluation of various subjects as per the university course curriculum's specification from time to time. Attendance is compulsory for all test, examination and periods including seminars, guest lectures etc., as per the Institute's time-table students with less than 75% attendance in any semester will not be allowed to appear in the end semester examination.

The assessment of the candidates for the first two semesters is conducted by the institute and for the third and fourth semester by the University / Institute (Partially by the institute and these are internal assessment and partially by the Univesity concerned which are termed as external assessment)

In order to pass in a subject/ paper in any semester a candidate is required to obtain a minimum of 50% marks assigned to that subject/ paper.

The Management courses consist of a range of methods of instruction such as case-studies , lectures,group and individual exercises, class assignments, project work and presentations, role play, management games , etc.

No. of tutorials for each subject:

As per the University of Mumbai norms there are 12 courses per year or 6 courses per semester. Each semester consist of 15 to 16 weeks. The contact hours of each course will be 4 hours per week which comes to 60 contact hours ( Generally one contact hour is considered equivalent to 3 credit hours to provide faculty member time for class preparation, examinations,out of class-room consultations, etc.,) The minimum teaching days in each semester is seventy two days. However, additional days are provided . A maximum of 90 teaching days per semester excluding examination and preparations are available.

List of final year projects and number of students per project:

The Students are required to spend a part of their time in acquiring practical training and experience in Business/ Industry. They are placed in the companies by the institute. At the end of this compulsory training, each candidate will be requierd to submit a project report based on his / her work experience which will be evaluated as a part of the Institute's Assessment Scheme.
