COURSE DETAILS
The Bachelor of Physiotherapy run by MUHS, Nashik, is a four and half year’s degree course including six months mandatory internship. The Proffession of Physiotherapy deals with a wide range of disorders in orthopaedics, neurology, cardiology & pulmonary, geriatrics, women’s health, pediatrics & intensive care. In addition to clinical practice,
Physiotherapists can extend their expertise in academic & research activities. Physiotherapists play a vital role in the preventive medicine, health fitness, Sport medicine, Industrial health & health promotion.
 
OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAMME
To develope a physical Therapist who will be able to
 
  • select strategies for cure and care, adopt restorative and rehabilitative measures fro maximum possible independence of a client at home, workplace and in the community.

  • Maintain a healthy relationship, Co-partnership with various professionals in the health delivery systems in the primary interest of the clients.
    		•
     
  • Practice professional autonomy and ethical principle with referral, as well as first contact clients in conformity with the ethical code for Physical Therapists.
    		•
     
  • Demonstrate leadership qualities and decision making abilities so as to be able to function effectively in various situations.
    		•
     
  • Recognize the need for continued learning, to bring about improvement at a personal and professional level.
    		•
     
    INTAKE CAPACITY
    Total intake capacity is 30 students per academics year.
     
    DURATION OF THE COURSE
    This is a four year full time course followed by mandatory six month's internship.
