ADMISSION CRITERIA

Applicants for admission to first year Basic B.Sc. Nursing shall fulfill the following: 

1. The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission
2. The minimum educational requirements shall be the passing of :

 Higher secondary school certificate Examination (12 years course),

OR

Senior School certificate Examination (10+2), pre-degree Examination (10+2)

OR

An equivalent with 12 years schooling from a recognized board or University

 with science (Physics, chemistry, Biology) and English with minimum of 45% aggregate marks (PCBE) passing one at the same time.

3. National Eligibility cum Enterance Test (NEET)
4. Candidate should be medically fit

ACADEMIC TERMS AND VACATIONS

       The duration of the Basic B.Sc. Nursing programme is 4 years and the academic calendar is provided by the University.

Students are entitled to 4 weeks of vacation every year; 2 weeks during Diwali and 2 weeks during summer. Students are not allowed to take any kind of leave during their training period. Students will have to submit a Sick Leave Certificate from a Registered Medical Practitioner in case of availing any sick leave.

 Students not fulfilling the minimum requirements prescribed by Councils/University will not be allowed to appear in the University exams.

·        Course starts in the month of August every year

ACADEMIC TERMS AND VACATIONS (as per MUHS norms)

Basic B.Sc. Nursing programme – 4years

Vacation –Six weeks / years

Students need to  fulfill the minimum attendence prescribed by councils/ University to appear in the University Exams.

A Medical certificate from registered Medical practitioner must be submitted in case of availing any sick leave during sickness.
